Translated note (LL)

Content:  Signoret (1861), upon discovering this species (Peru: Moyabama) placed it in the genus Sundarus, which is included in the tribe Coreini. Later, Stal (1870) and Lethierry & Severin (1894), transferred it to the genus Cnemomis (C. acuta) in the tribe Discogastrini. Recently, the author reviewed the type deposited in NMW and confirmed the initial identification, applied by Signoret, returning to the original combination of Sundarus acutus. Sundarus acutus Signoret, shows an expanded humeral angle of pronotum, resembling aliform structure, a condition which never occurs in the genus Cnemomis.
