Supplementary information for

Differentiation between C. pacificus & C. americanus

Content:  LL:
This species is closely related to and confused with C. americanus and in most collections it is so labelled. It may however be distinguished from that species by its uniformly smaller size and its color more red; the apex of tylus reaches just beyond the middle of the first segment of the antennae; the anterior angle of pronotum is not produced and the intermediate femora are armed with a single spine in place of the anterior pair as in americanus.
