Sus colores crípticos hacen difícil su captura, recolectandose en el suelo entre la hojarasca. Julieta Ramos y Manuel Pino (comunicacion personal) han capturado a esta especie en nidos de hormiga Liometopum apiculatum, conocida comunmente como "escamole".
