Content:  The name Cimex pedestris (Fabricius, 1775) is a junior pimrary homonym of Cimex pedestris Poda, 1761. Riptortus pedestris (Fabricius, 1775) being in general usage is retained under provisions of ICZN Article 23.9.5.
