Note on Type Specimens

Content:  In Breddin's original description only male specimen(s) are mentioned. The single specimen observed and photographed at DEI was marked by Osuna as female, although its terminalia were not located. It has been erroneously marked as a holotype. This specimen has labels which match the type specimen locality (Ecuador) and as with many of Breddin's types was acquired from R. Haensch. A single male, marked as a syntype, is present in the BMNH, London. This specimen has labels which match the type specimen locality (Ecuador) and as with many of Breddin's types was acquired from R. Haensch.
