   S. America (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Surinam, Panama, Peru, Venezuela); This genus is confined to southern America. Molchina obtusidens Blöte, 1936 is the only species recorded from Central America (Panama) and is known from a single type specimen.
